Gandhi Kusth Nivaran Pratisthan (GKNP) founded by Late Lakshmi Singh Freedom Fighter in 1960. He was inspired by the father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi to take care of people suffering from leprosy. Shri Singh collected donation in Bhabua and surrounding areas to purchases the building materials needed to build the hospital. He also collected funds to purchase drugs for leprosy patients. The hospital was inaugurated on Gandhi Jayanti. The organisation is made for the beneficial of people who are suffering from leprosy and is completely dedicated in the field of health through its several health programms achieved.
The active involvement of board members as well as general member in the implementation of the programs has further contributed to the development of the organization.
To fully mobilize the Potential of members of the organisation for the beneficial of people has been the priority of the organization.
From its inception, the organization had been in the field of Health sector through its several Health programmes and activities. The society believes strongly that through Information, Education and Communication (IEC) it can empower the citizens with information related to health related issues and can make weaker sections aware about their rights.
